Thumbs up DIRECT HIRE or VIA AGENCY - what's better? Help please.

    Hi,

Im 29 years old and Im thinking of working abroad for the first time.

I have no idea of the requirements and procedures I have to go through or kung gano kahirap kumuha nung mga documents needed.

Sa mga OFW dito, help and pa-advice please.

My specialization is in Marketing and I have experience in both service (life insurance, then IT companies = 4 years) and retail/consumer industry (3 years).

Saan country kaya may mas maganda at madaming work opportunities for someone like me?

Anong pros and cons ng applying directly (tourist visa, then apply-apply) vs thru an agency here?

thanks in advance sa mga mag-reply

    application through agency:

    pros
    - there is a definite job order from employer
    - agency will advise you or take care of processing your documents

    cons
    - takes forever to have an interview sched; depends on urgency
    - placement fee is one month salary or more! (most of the time)
    - risk of transacting with illegal recruiters; always check with POEA

    direct application:
    pros
    - no placement fee

    cons
    - employers prefer to hire those who are already in their country

    indefinite.

    depende sa urgency.

average 3 months siguro fastest from application to departure.

With your work classification baka mahirap ka talagang makahanap ng work. Ano ba ang last occupation mo? (ex.document controller, secretary, HR, IT)

Find a job with the help of an agency or applying online.

Usually on phone yang initial interview.

And because of desperation to find work, you will commit to a job na di mo naman forte at most of the time napaka baba ng sahod.

Im currently a Brand Manager for an FMCG company.
